Lani Levine is an award-winning broadcast journalist and producer of prestige documentary films renowned for delivering powerful stories on tight deadlines from sometimes challenging environments. A New York City native, her career highlights span negotiating with the Taliban, exploring a secret 20,000 sq. ft. warehouse filled with Michael Jackson’s personal effects and investigating hidden mass graves in the Russian breakaway state of Transnistria.
Her work has been showcased on National Geographic, HBO, Showtime, ESPN, and Amazon Prime. She began her career at the infamously high-stakes newsmagazine 60 MINUTES, the longest-running program of its kind.
Most recently, Lani served as Executive Producer of Olivier Sarbil's documentary VIKTOR, which premiered in the Platform competition at TIFF ’24.
Her work has earned her some of journalism’s most prestigious honors, including multiple News & Documentary Emmys, the Grierson British Documentary Award, and the Edward R. Murrow Award.
